About me

I’m Mitch.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois. I work with teenagers and adults who are trying to understand themselves better, get unstuck, and make some of the practical parts of life feel more manageable.

How I think about therapy

I don't think people need to be “fixed” before they can make meaningful changes. Often, the things that look like procrastination, avoidance, lack of motivation, or poor follow-through make more sense once you understand what is underneath them.

My job is to help make sense of those patterns while also helping you develop concrete ways of handling them.

What you can expect

  • A collaborative relationship rather than a one-size-fits-all program
  • Close collaboration with families, schools, and other providers when it is helpful to treatment
  • Practical strategies when practical strategies are useful
  • Space to talk honestly about relationships, family, school, work, and identity
  • Attention to both skills and the emotional patterns underneath them
  • A neurodivergent-affirming perspective without assuming every difficulty is explained by a diagnosis
Training & experience

Professional background

I’m an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My clinical experience has included working with adolescents and adults in outpatient and higher-level-of-care settings, including PHP/IOP environments.

My work draws from approaches including CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and skills-based interventions, while keeping the individual relationship at the center of treatment.

A good fit matters
